Spring Valley Nature Club

Promoting Conservation, Nature and Environmental Education

Spring Valley Nature Center 1111 E Schaumburg Road.

Schaumburg IL 60194

As all of us continue to address the situation that has developed due to Covid-19 virus we have decided to suspend our April 1, 2020 Nature Club meeting and all future meetings until Governor Pritzker rescinds the "shelter in place order".

The Vegetable & Herb sale scheduled for May 17, 2020 has been canceled.

The Spring Valley Nature Club has a suggestion for all of us who are staying safe at home. A fun and educational project would be to start some seeds at home. The whole family can get involved in planting and nurturing your seedlings. When the weather warms up you’ll be able to set your transplants outdoors in planters or in the ground. A great experience for kids and adults! You’ll have flowers for butterflies and pollinators with the bonus of getting a crop of fresh produce you’ve grown yourself! We have dozens of varieties of fresh for 2020 Baker Creek Heirloom seeds available ranging from beans, kale, tomatoes, squash, watermelon, etc, etc. Use the contact tab above and send me a message for a complete list of what’s available for a no contact porch or driveway pick up. Most prices range from $2.00-$4.00.

Proceeds benefit the community through funding educational programs.

Spring Valley Nature Center is currently closed.
Nature Club yearly dues can be paid  by mail.
You can find the dues schedule in the January News Leaf.

Thank you for your continuing  support during these trying times.
